A SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

“We have always been committed to conscious sustainability, aiming to reduce waste wherever possible. When launching our debut vegan collection, we wanted to be sure that the collection is not only leather free, but that it also be made in a sustainably conscious way – we didn’t want to simply replace leather for plastics and contribute to the harmful process that is plastic production. So we spent a long time searching for natural alternatives to leather and materials that felt as soft and durable as our mainline collections. Holding ourselves to these standards means our vegan collection has been a few years in the making”.

OUR PRODUCTION

AN ETHICAL PROCESS

OUR MATERIALS

APPLE LEATHER

We have partnered with an innovative Italian supplier to produce an Eco-Vegan leather made from apples. Each style within the collection is made and produced in Italy using apple waste, which is a by-product of the food and drink industry. The use of this sustainable fruit skin lowers the emissions and the consumption of energy throughout the entire production chain. The apple residual is naturally dried and turned into apple powder, which is then used in the production of the collection.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

SUSTAINABILITY FIRST

Most vegan leather products on the market are highly toxic and detrimental to humans and our planet. In fact, most are made entirely from synthetic materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PU), which are produced using dangerous fossil fuels. They also are made from raw materials that do not biodegrade at the end of their use. Our Eco-Vegan sustainable skin is produced by using fibres derived as residuals from the processing of apples, making it a more circular product. Not only is it vegan, but it’s also healthy for human wear and truly environmentally sustainable.
